Downloading the AirData UAV app

To get started, please download the AirData UAV app on Google Play, here.

If using a device that does not have access to the Play Store, download the AirData UAV app using this direct link: https://airdata.com/ad/.

Logging into the app

Open the newly installed AirData UAV app and enter the credentials used on the web portal to log in.

IMPORTANT: The pilot logged into the AirData app when flights are conducted will be who the flights are assigned to when they are uploaded to AirData. If multiple pilots use the same phone/tablet, it's imperative that each pilot logs into the AirData app before they conduct flights, and logs out when they finish flying.

Once inside the app, tap on the three lines in the top left-hand corner. Note that you have the option to immediately sync your flights by tapping on "Sync Now." Tap on "Settings" to configure your sync parameters.

Once inside the settings, proceed to choose the configuration that best suits your needs. With "Auto Sync" enabled (recommended), the app will send the flight to your AirData account immediately after the flight is conducted.

Your settings are now saved - meaning, if "Auto Sync" is enabled, you do not need to open the AirData app each time you conduct flights. The flights will automatically synchronize with your AirData account in the background.

FAQ

Question Answer

Can I log into the app if I don't have internet connection?

After logging into the app for the first time (with reception), you can log into the app with or without reception in the future.

What if I am not connected to the internet? Will my flights sync?

Any flights conducted while offline will upload to your AirData account as soon as your device obtains an internet connection.

Will the app remember the login credentials for multiple pilots?

Yes! Each pilot that enables "Remember me" when logging in will be listed in the "Saved Logins" dropdown for quick access.

I have two Android devices. Do I need to install the AirData UAV app on both?

Yes, you need to install the app on each device you fly with, as the log files are stored on the phone/tablet.

Hi Steven,

Thank you for posting this question. We'd be happy to help you get Pix4D and Litchi up and running on your Android phone.

Can you send us an email at support@airdata.com with some additional information about what Android device and version you are using?
If you could include some screenshots of your AirData UAV permissions screen, too, that would be helpful.

Thank you. We look forward to hearing from you.

Best Regards,
Tom

I have a mavic 3.
DJI smart controller. I have p i x4d capture pro installed on the smart controller. The flights that are flown with capture pro do not sync to airdata. The flight logs that are generated using capture pro are also not sunk with DJI flight logs. I've tried to manually load the flight logs in DAT & TxT Airdata but the data in the flight is inaccurate. If needed, I can send you an example flight log.

Hi Eric,

Thank you for posting this question. We'd be happy to help get you set up with Pix4D and AirData.

Can you first confirm that you are using v109 of AirData, the latest release?
You can download it here: airdata.com

Please then make sure that Pix4D is checked off in Settings -> Manage Permissions -> Supported Apps

If this does not resolve the issue, please send us an email at support@airdata.com
We will need some additional information to help you troubleshoot further.

Thank you. Please feel free to reach out to support@airdata.com if the above steps do not allow you to successfully upload.

Best Regards,
