For Android
The AirData UAV Android app will automatically sync the logs on your phone/tablet with your AirData account. This help article explains how to set up the AirData UAV mobile app to sync flight logs from the following flight apps:
- DJI GO
- DJI GO 4
- DJI Pilot
- DJI Fly
https://app.airdata.com/wiki/Help/Granting+Permissions+in+Android+13+and+14
Downloading the AirData UAV app
To get started, please download the AirData UAV app on Google Play, here.
If using a device that does not have access to the Play Store, download the AirData UAV app using this direct link: https://airdata.com/ad/.
Logging in to the app
Open the newly installed AirData UAV app and enter the credentials used on the web portal to log in.
IMPORTANT: The pilot that is logged into the AirData app when flights are conducted will become the Pilot-in-Command on AirData for these flights. If multiple pilots use the same phone/tablet, it's imperative that each pilot logs into the AirData app with their credentials before they fly, and log out when done flying.
Once inside the app, tap on the three lines in the top left-hand corner. Note that you have the option to immediately sync your flights by tapping on "Sync Now." Tap on "Settings" to configure your sync parameters.
Once inside the settings, proceed to choose the configuration that best suits your needs. With "Auto Sync" enabled (recommended), the app will send the flight to your AirData account immediately after the flight is conducted.
Your chosen settings are saved - meaning, if "Auto Sync" is enabled, you do not need to open the AirData app each time you conduct flights. The flights will automatically synchronize with your AirData account in the background.
Please refer to this video for a more in-depth walkthrough on uploading your flight logs with the AirData UAV Android app.
FAQ
Question | Answer | |
---|---|---|
Can I log in to the app if I do not have an internet connection? | After logging in to the app for the first time (with reception), you can log in to the app with or without reception in the future. | |
What if I am not connected to the internet? Will my flights sync? | Any flights conducted while offline will upload to your AirData account as soon as your device obtains an internet connection. | |
Will the app remember the login credentials for multiple pilots? | Yes! Each pilot that enables "Remember me" when logging in will be listed in the "Saved Logins" dropdown for quick access. | |
I have two Android devices. Do I need to install the AirData UAV app on both? | Yes, you need to install the app on each device you fly with, as the log files are stored on the phone/tablet. | |
My team has multiple pilots. In addition to logging in and out of the AirData UAV app, does each pilot need to log in and out of the DJI flight app before and after they fly? | It is not necessary for the pilots to log in and out of the DJI flight apps, unless they want to keep track of flights on their DJI account. AirData assigns the flight(s) to whichever pilot is logged in to the AirData UAV app (not the DJI flight app) when the flights are conducted. |

It does not look like the new "DJI RC" controller with the built-in display for the Mini 3 Pro has a web browser or the Play Store, so we cannot verify a method of downloading the AirData UAV app onto the controller. Perhaps DJI will release an update in the future that includes a web browser for the DJI RC. If and when that happens, the process of downloading the AirData app would be very similar to downloading the app onto the RC Pro, as explained here: app.airdata.com
We typically recommend using our AirData UAV mobile app to sync your DJI Fly logs. Since it doesn't look like the AirData app can be installed on the DJI RC (built-in display) at this time, please see the below options for syncing logs.
You can use the process we refer to as "Direct DJI Sync" to sync your DJI Fly logs with AirData. Here are instructions for Direct DJI Sync: app.airdata.com
In the section titled "After Flying" in the help article, DJI GO is pictured, but DJI Fly looks slightly different. Please see this short video for where to enable auto-sync in DJI Fly: vimeo.com
You can also try manually retrieving the flight logs from the DJI RC by connecting the controller with a computer using a cable. You might be able to then access the files that are located on the controller. However, we are not sure where exactly the logs are stored on the controller at this time. If you are able to manually retrieve the logs from the controller, you can upload them to AirData here: app.airdata.com
I hope this helps!

My Mini 3 Pro flight log are being uploaded to DJI and are now syncing OK, sometimes immediately, sometimes with a day's delay.
I would like to store the flight logs on my PC but, although I've searched for them on the DJI RC controller, I've had no success. Do you have any idea yet where they are stored?
I'm glad to hear that you have been able to sync your Mini 3 Pro flights.
[Ian says...] sometimes immediately, sometimes with a day's delay.
Perhaps it's best to clarify when AirData will connect with DJI's servers to retrieve your logs. Please see below for more info:
Flights will automatically synchronize daily between AirData and DJI when you view your flight list on AirData from a web browser, for the first time that day. Otherwise, automatic synchronization will occur weekly. It's worth clarifying that opening the AirData mobile app will not initiate the connection between AirData and DJI – you must access your AirData account from a web browser. You can always force a sync between AirData and DJI by clicking on "Sync" next to your DJI credentials on the "My Account" -> "DJI Login" page.
[Ian says...] I would like to store the flight logs on my PC but, although I've searched for them on the DJI RC controller, I've had no success. Do you have any idea yet where they are stored?
We are not sure where the logs are stored on the DJI RC. However, I'd like to point out that you can download the original log file that was uploaded to AirData. To do this, select the flight on your AirData account and click on "Original" beneath the display map while on the "GENERAL" -> "Overview" tab.

The recent Android updates have changed the location of DJI's flight data. You will now find app data in the folder: /storage/emulated/0/Android/data. You will have to connect your Android device to a computer via USB in order to copy files from there.
If you have a use case for these files that you need further assistance with, please send us an email at support@airdata.com. Thank you.

I am reaching out today because I am having trouble synchronizing with my airdata account with my DJI account.
My account had been working until December 13th. Since then though no flights are being recorded through airdata. Although my DJI account has been logging the information of recent flights I have been making.
Any information that could help me in finding a solution would be greatly appreciated.
If you are using DJI's servers to upload logs to AirData, please see these instructions: app.airdata.com
If you are still unable to upload logs after reviewing the above information, please send an email to support@airdata.com and we'd be glad to take a look at your account.

Known issue with uploading DJI GO 4 logs:
When using Android 13 on a phone/tablet, the version of the AirData mobile app (version 87) that is currently available in the Play Store will not upload DJI GO 4 flight logs. This is due to the logs being stored in a location that we do not have access to at this time, but we hope to in the future. If you are using DJI GO 4 on a device running Android 13, please see your upload options below. If using an Android version other than 13, please send an email to support@airdata.com and we will further assist.
Options for uploading DJI GO 4 logs:
Option 1: You can use our direct download .apk, which will install a version that does have the ability to upload DJI GO 4 logs. The version is 80, and it is located on this page: airdata.com If you elect to use this version, you do not need to tap on the blue button the settings page that says "Activate missing permissions"—activating these permissions is only necessary for older Android versions.
Option 2: Using Direct DJI Sync is another option. Essentially, the DJI GO 4 logs go from your phone/table to DJI's cloud, then to AirData. Note that you need to manually sync the flights with DJI's cloud from the "Flight records" page of DJI GO 4. For instructions on setting up Direct DJI Sync, see here: app.airdata.com
We hope this helps.

I installed the APK, it wasn't easy but is working now.
First, when I used the apk to replace the current installation it would fail complaining that the package was not valid.
Then I uninstalled the app and installed it with the apk and it worked.
But after hitting continue on the page that explains the permits, it would just hang on the page with the logo. I tried several times restarting the app and the phone with no success. Then I just press cancel on that page and it started working, after syncing a couple of times, my DJI GO 4 logs did show up.
Thanks!
Best,
Trevor

Thank you for asking this question.
I understand that you are not seeing all of your DJI Fly logs in your AirData account. Is this correct?
There could be a number of issues relating to device settings or app permissions that are causing your data to not display.
And we will need some additional information to troubleshoot your case.
Please refer to our email reply from support@airdata. We'd be happy to help you resolve this issue with your uploads.
Thank you.

Thank you for your response. We appreciate your efforts in following the provided instructions and for sharing your recent flight experiences.
Based on the information provided, it's possible that the version of the Files app you had on 2/16 was compatible with our workaround, enabling the AirData app to successfully upload the flight log. However, between 2/16 and 2/22, if the Files app updated, it could have rendered our workaround unusable, resulting in the failure to upload the 2/22 flight log.
In response to this, we recommend utilizing our Direct DJI Sync method as an alternative. For step-by-step instructions, please refer to the following help article: app.airdata.com
If you encounter any challenges during this process or if the issue persists, please reach out to our dedicated support team at support@airdata.com. By contacting us through this channel, we can delve deeper into the technical aspects to identify the root cause of the problem and provide more tailored assistance.
Thank you again for your communication.

DJI to Disable
Flight Record Sync in the US Starting on June 12, 2024, DJI announced that the flight record sync feature in the DJI Fly and Pilot 2 apps will be disabled in the United States. Please "click here" to learn more about this change and what this means for AirData customers.
So I clicked there: what do I read.
Android 13 and 14 Permission Issues
Android 13 and 14 have begun restricting access to /Android/Data/, where most flight logs are stored.
Our engineering team is working on different solutions to allow the AirData UAV app continued access to flight logs.
work round. ) Direct DJI Sync: This sync method allows AirData to import flights from your DJI cloud account.
Please see setup instructions here: app.airdata.com
WUT?!
Its like Pete and repeat got in a boat and Pete got out, so who is left? I'll be discontinuing airdata as of june 12th because I have no way to upload my dji flight data from my Samsung galaxy s21 ultra phone with android 13.
it was fun when it lasted.
Thank you sharing these questions. We have just updated our help resources to account for these upcoming changes from DJI.
Our help article, "Granting Permissions in Android 13 and 14", now directly addresses the new workflow for US-based customers.
If you are using a newer Android device with Android 13 or 14, please see the updated help article here: app.airdata.com
AirData also allows the manual import of TXT flight logs from your mobile device/remote controller/SD card.
DJI users who only have the DJI RC or DJI RC 2 will need to manually upload their flights to AirData for the time being.
This following help article will work for any users of DJI flight apps on Android:
